Generally visa decision take around 4 weeks, this depends upon current rush, it is always advised to apply bit early and one can apply student visa application as early as 3 /4 months from course start date. Decision time for online and paper based visa remains almost same, rest there is bit difference for SDS and Non- SDS (SDS has faster processing) to know more about SDS visa filling follow the link on this site.

1.Wrong filling of Visa application: Form, this form is electronic form and need to filled very wisely, in some case if you don’t enter appropriate details this can be one of the reason of refusal.

2.Misleading information: While filling details in any via form do mention the exact information & hiding or lying could lead to rejection.

3.In-Adequate Documentation: While applying Visa do follow the visa checklist & make sure to include all required documents in your visa file.

4.Low IELTS score: Though IELTS is related to admission requirements of institution but Embassy also consider it as one of the parameter while taking decision on visa application & in case you have low score in that event this could also lead to rejection, as our experience for all Undergraduate courses (Bachelors Degree or Diplomas ) 6 band & if applying for any Post Graduation course better to apply with 6.5 band.

5.Low Academic Score: Your academic achievements in previous studies are also taken in consideration& if you have scored less marks in some subjects then it could be a problem, just a remedy in case you have low scores in any core subjects for example Math’s you have below 50% in that event do not pic a course where math is main stream requirement.

6.Wrong course selection: This is very common reason of visa rejection now a days, due to high demand of Canadian Institutions, agents/consultants are offering course which do not fall in regards to previous qualification and while assessing your visa application visa office rejects such application, as remedy to this in case any one is changing his/her course or opting for some irrelevant course than do mention the clear study pathway and intention of choosing that course in your SOP.

7.Selection of Good Consultant : Choosing a right consultant is must, applying your application from an experienced organization plays a vital role in visa outcome, generally people apply from sub-agents or those whose main business is not student visa, so better to apply from some professional.

8.Previous Rejection disclosure: Most people think that they can hide previous rejection & normally some do not mention in visa forms, we suggest not doing this & one should mention all previous rejection, this is not considered negative.

9.Quality of Documents: While applying for visa either online or paper based, do make sure that the quality of Scanned documents for online and quality of print documents for paper based should be of good quality, otherwise the information from that particular document could be proper read and this could also lead to visa rejection.

10.Wrong timing of applying: For Canada visa application you have to make your application well in time so that visa office have adequate time to assess it, they have strictly mention that for January Intakes the visa application must be lodged maximum by 01 December, For May its 01 April & for September (Fall) its 01 August, for all other intakes the last date is calculate by previous month start date.

To be able to cover you study & living cost in Canada it’s important to know. Annual Tuition Fee of Canadian Institution start from 12000 CAD $ till 17000 CAD $ for a good institution, rest it depends upon the course type, institution, Location.

Along with Tuition Fee you should also consider living expenses which is approx. 10000 CAD $ per year. Though international student are allowed to work part time, but still its better to keep a note of this expense also.

We need to understand that visa rejection is not end of the story, rejection simply means that your application could not fit to their current policy requirements or there are some deficiencies in documentation or the information needed is not fully available.

Though it is tough to comment on the visa decision, but with due course of experience we have understood the reasons and share with applicant after understanding his/her complete profile.

The major documents required for visa filling are
  1. Passport
  2. Academic certificates (from Class 10th onward till last)
  3. IELTS certificate
  4. Medical Report
  5. Experience certificate (if any)
  6. Visa Application Form kit
  7. GIC

To be able to apply for visa file under SDS, you need to have:

IELTS each module above 6 band

Medical First year full tuition Fee paid receipt Offer Letter, Letter of Acceptance from DLI institution (Designated Learning institute) You should be legal resident of India, China, Morocco, Pakistan, Philippines, Senegal & Vietnam

SDS, Non-SDS & Generic are types of student visa filling. If you have

  1. IELTS each module above 6 band
  2. MedicalFirst year full tuition Fee paid receipt
  3. Offer Letter, Letter of Acceptance from DLI institution
  4. You should be legal resident of India, China, Morocco, Pakistan, Philippines, Senegal & Vietnam
  5. SDS applications are applied online only.

With above points you can apply under SDS , incase you do not comply or complete any of above requirements then your file will be consider & applied under non- SDS or Generic (both means the same), the extra documents required for non-SDS / Generic includes following extra documentation:

Financial documents of your sponsor (ITR, Salary Slips & Income certificates etc.

In case you have not paid full year tuition Fee or have not purchased GIC then you have to provide bank statement of other saving documents to confirm that you or your sponsor have availability of funds so as to support your studies.

A covering letter from your sponsor to confirm that he/she will provide financial support to you & details of dependents he/she is currently having & also a letter from sponsors employee confirming his/her current work situation.

Non-SDS / Generic visa application can be applied online as well paper based.

Generally if you are applying visa after paying your First year full Tuition Fee & also show that you have purchased GIC ; in that case there is no need to show funds for Canada student visa. Funds are only required if you are applying under non-SDS or Generic visa and have not paid any of these. Though in whole policy its nowhere mentioned that what is the exact amount required this we have derived from our past experiences

People have lots of myths about Gap, its important to understand what gap means in student visa application, if you are a regular student and passed your last qualification in recent year in that even you have actually no gap. In case your last qualification was complete an year ago or more in that event you need to provide adequate details & documents to confirm about what you have been doing during that period, its important to know your activity for that period, incase you were doing any job that`s really positive and should mention this during visa application process. Most negative is when you have done nothing during your gap period and should discuss this point with your visa counselor for better guidance on it. Its normal to have 12 months gap as everyone takes some time to understand the future prospects before joining any job or higher program

This is very interesting and a question of every one. The Diplomas as specially designed programs as per current market requirements; they are available for duration of 2/3 years. Diplomas are available for post secondary level and Post Graduate Level. If you are joining any post-secondary diploma and after completion you can take transfer credits & even complete degree. The only difference between diploma & Degree is that diploma provides an exit after 2 years but in case you join degree you can only have exit after completion of it, majority of bachelor degrees in Canada are of 4 years.

Work permit is second stage after student visa, normally any student studies in Canada for 2 years he/she becomes eligible to apply for up to 3 year of work permit. Here is one important point for all candidates that once you apply for student visa, make sure that you enroll to such institution who provides PGWP (Post Graduate Work Permit), all colleges in Canada do not have PGWP status which means that studying at specific colleges and program can only make you eligible for work permit, so when you start your admission process you should make sure that your college has PGWP status or not.
